Robert Neal Haynes, 68, of Blytheville, passed away Monday, Sept. 9, 2019 at his home.

Robert was born in Blytheville to Ernest and Margaret Wright Haynes. One of Blytheville’s brightest young musicians, he was a disc jockey for KLCN Blytheville from 1967-1969. Afterwards, Robert left Arkansas in the 1970s to pursue a life of music. He toured the world putting on hundreds of shows for troops stationed abroad as a production manager for the USO, then went on to manage tours for Country and Latin American Acts such as Tanya Tucker, Wade Hayes, and Jose Feliciano, throughout the 1980s and 1990s. He recorded two live albums and toured extensively with Janis Ian. He then became the production manager for House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, and then Orlando before retiring at 60. He brought happiness to countless people by facilitating their entertainment and will be missed greatly.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Robert leaves his only son, Robin Haynes of Los Angeles, Calif.; and two sisters, Sandi Dennis of Blytheville and Margaret Ann Holstead of Elizabethtown, Ky.
