Barbara A. Renard

Barbara A. Renard, 83, passed on March 12, 2019, at home surrounded by her family in Madison, Ala.  From birth until her passing, Barbara was the most caring and nurturing soul that anyone could have the honor of meeting. Her faith, love and heartwarming meals brought joy and comfort to those around her. Born September 16, 1935, in Greenway to Orville and Dorothy Gurley, Barbara was the oldest of three siblings. She began a life of service at an early age by helping care for her younger brothers Carrol (deceased) and Ronnie while her father and mother ran the family farm. In January of 1955 Barbara married her high school sweetheart and the love her life, Donald Renard.

She is survived by her husband Donald; brother Ronnie Gurley (Kay); daughters, DeShawna Renard Scott (Bobby), Teresa Renard Letson (Mike); grandchildren Bobby Scott, Jr. (Melissa), Heather Culberson, Emily Wilbanks (Andrew Fancher), and Morgan Scott; great-grandchildren Levi Belcher and Savannah Scott. 

Barbara will forever be remembered as a loving, vibrant and supportive Christian wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all that have been blessed enough to know her.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 16, at Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott.
