Lorinda “Sue” Hill Lee

Lorinda “Sue” Hill Lee, 74, of Manila, passed from this life Monday, Aug. 12, 2019, at her home. Born in Benton Harbor, Mich., she was the daughter of the late William and Ovie Gray McCain and had been a longtime Manila area resident. She was a former employee of Borg-Warner of Blytheville and American Greetings in Osceola; she retired from the former Hill’s Grocery in 2006, where she was known for her cooking. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Harold Hill and Kenneth Lee. Additionally, she was preceded in death by one son, Dennis Hill; one brother, J.C. Clayton, and one sister, Dorothy Skaggs.

She is survived by four sons, Gary Hill (Angie), William Hill (Susan), Jackie Hill (Karan) and Brian Lee, all of Manila; one daughter, Sandra Brown (Frank) of Manila; two brothers, and Jerry McCain and Robert McCain, both of Manila; one sister, Cathy Benefield of Hornersville, Mo. She also leaves 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and two “on the way.”

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Reverend Danny Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Manila Cemetery. 

Serving as active pallbearers will be Larry Browning, Kent Moore, Jared Camp, Kent Wagner, Greg Stallings, Jeremy Bennett, Tracey Reinhart and Jeremy Gamble. 

The family will receive visitors Wednesday evening from 6-8 at the funeral home.
