Bobby Joe Benham

Bobby Joe Benham, 66, of Manila, passed from this life Friday, Aug. 2, 2019, at his home. Born in Manila, he was the son of the late Charles Mackey Joe and Shirley Ford Benham and had been a longtime Manila resident. As a young man he had worked for Robert Hamilton Farms and later worked for Paul Fleeman Farms where he retired in 2017. Bobby enjoyed his family and was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Leola Macon Benham of the home; two sons, Bobby Joe "Joey" Benham, Jr. (Sabrina) of Sturgis, Ky., and Brian Edward Benham (Stacy) of Conway;oOther children he raised as his own, Billy Wayne Nettles, Christopher Wayne Nettles (Kathy), Aubrey Gene Nettles (Rhonda), Teresa Lynn Whitworth (Larry), Donna Michelle Dowlearn; five stepchildren, Latosha Key, Dustin Lee Wadkins (Olivia), Dianna Morris (Tommy), Larry Joe Carpenter (Mandy), Crystal Ann Woods (Doug); seven brothers, Jerry Benham, Donald Benham, Glen Benham, Tony Benham, Freddy Benham, Kenneth Benham and Charles "Chucky" Benham; five sisters, Pat Clayton, Rosie Smith, Dorothy "Dot" Penix, Betty Webb and Lisa McFall. He also leaves numerous grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Monday in the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. Gary Finley officiating. The family will receive visitors Monday from 1 p.m. until service time.
