Clifford Franklin Wood, Sr.

Clifford Franklin Wood, Sr., 79, of West Memphis, formerly of Osceola, died July 13, 2019, at Baptist DeSoto Hospital in Southaven, Miss. He was a production manager and of the Methodist faith. Mr. Wood was born Aug. 13, 1939, in Keiser to Prentiss and Geneva Whitworth Wood.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Bertha Wood; his daughter Kerrie Wood; two brothers, Prentiss Wood and Erwin Wood; five sisters, Carolee Young, Minnie Ruth McMillan, Barbara Ann Powell, Charlene Wood and Jean Wood.

He is survived by one son, Clifford (Clista Jo) Wood of Marion; grandchildren, Cliff “Tri” (Kacey) Wood, Tory Wood and Hayden (A.J.) Baker, Chase (Melanie) Wilkey and Collin Jo (Rob) Thornton; great-grandchildren, Cody Wood, Kaylin Wood, Prentiss Wood, Klair Wood, Jon Braxton Tyler, Ryder Wilkey, Kendall Wilkey, Garner Tyler and Payson Ro Thornton.

Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, with the funeral at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola.

Pallbearers were A.J. Baker, Voy Gillentine, Jr., Brian Holthouse, Murry Richardson, Rob Thornton, Tommy Wilkey and Tory Wood.

Burial was at Bassett Cemetery in Bassett, with Bro. Reed H. Dillahunty officiating.

Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola was in charge.
