Nathaniel Washington, 80, of Blytheville, passed away Thursday morning June 20, 2019, at his home. Born in Pinney Ridge on Oct. 23, 1938, he was the son of I.H. and Earlene Hooks Washington.

Nathaniel was preceded in death by wife Selma and three sons, Isiah, Herman and Keith.

He leaves to forever cherish love and his memories three daughters, Sandra Almond of Jacksonville, Fla., Dorris Williams of Steele, Mo., and Martha (Ricky) Jefferson of Blytheville; four brothers, Benny Washington of Houston, Texas; William Washington of Arkadelphia; Johnny Washington of Jonesboro; and James Washington of Memphis, Tenn.; two sisters, Earcylene Boyles of Memphis, Tenn., and Jurice (Marvin) Smith of Holly Springs, Miss.; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, at McDonald-Horne Funeral Home, 1207 South Division Street, Blytheville.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 27, at New Bethel Baptist Church, 1255 South 9th Street, Blytheville, where Reverend Howard Smith, Jr. is the pastor. Reverend Marvin Smith will deliver the eulogy with burial to follow at Gethsemane Gardens Cemetery.

McDonald-Horne Funeral Home is in charge of services and arrangements.
