Mabel Maxine Davis, 86, of Hornersville, widow of MSgt. Frank O. "Sarge" Davis, Jr., USAF, retired, passed from this life Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at Methodist-LeBonheur Healthcare in Germantown, Tenn. Born in Buckner, Mo., she was a graduate of William Chrisman High School in Indendendence, Mo., and had been a resident of Hornersville since 1963. Mrs. Mabel enjoyed spending time with her family, playing the piano and the accordian. She attended Trinity Community Church in Cardwell.

In addition to her husband of 60 years, she was preceded in death by her parents, Chester "Bud" and Fleta McMinn Boling; one son, Mark Dean Davis; three brothers and her half-sister.

Survivors include her son, Neal Davis (Sharon) of Jonesboro; two daughters, Debbie Davis Harmon of Kennett and Gail Davis Penix of Hornersville; six grandchildren, Lee Ann Harmon, Minday Harmon Williams, Amy Davis, Laura Harmon, Brandon Davis and Shari Palmer; five great-grandchildren, Josh Harmon, Zachary Harmon, Jayden Tillman, Jetta Tillman and William Palmer. She also leaves two great-great-grandchildren and very special and dear friends, Terry and Margie Jenkins.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Monday at the Horner Cemetery in Hornersville, Mo., with Reverend Ron Blankenship officiating under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Leachville. The family will receive visitors Monday from 11 until 12:30 at the funeral home.
