Michael Anthony Bell, 33, of Springdale, formerly of Blytheville, passed away Saturday evening surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Blytheville to Anthony Ray and Daphne Kay Simpson Bell on June 20, 1985.

He graduated Gosnell High School, Henderson State College with his BA and MA, and UALR Bowen School of Law with his law degree. He practiced law for a few years in the Little Rock area before moving to be near family in Springdale.

He loved to cook Cajun food. He liked to travel, read, and play video games. He was a 4th degree black belt in American Taekwondo and a brown belt in Jiu Jitsu. He enjoyed football, playing center in high school and in college.

He was preceded in death by his father, Anthony “Tony” Bell.

He is survived by his mother, Daphne Bell, of Springdale; his sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Shawn Herron, of Springdale; a nephew, Abell Kristopher Herron; many aunts and uncles; his cat, Ocelot; and friends and family that will miss him dearly.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Tony Bell Education Fund in care of Farmers Bank.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, May 31, in Carney Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tommy Carney officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Burial will be in Carney Cemetery.
