Betty Lou Thomas

Betty Lou Thomas, 92, of Marie passed away May 15, 2019, at SMC Medical Center in Osceola. She was retired from Wilson School Cafeteria and of the Baptist faith. Ms. Thomas was born April 22, 1927, in Carson Lake to Fred and Edith Adams Chamberlin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marvin Thomas; two sons, Larry Thomas and Donald Thomas; one daughter, Betty Zieba; three brothers; one sister; and grandson, Joshua Martin.

She is survived by five sons, Charles (Debbie) Thomas of Tampa, Fla., Maurice (Connie) Thomas of Bedford, Texas, Gary (Christine) Thomas of Chambersburg, Pa., Danny (Tess) Thomas and Ronald Thomas of Marie, and Randy (Bonnie) Thomas of Brighton, Tenn.; four daughters, Carol Howard of Marie, Viola (Bobby) Hill and Billie (Kenny) Stewart of Osceola, and Sheila (Sammy) Gaither of West Memphis; three sisters, Evelyn Hastings of Wilson, Dorothy Scroggins of Blytheville, and Sarah Reeds of Rockford, Ill.; son-in-law, John Zieba of Marie; 16 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 12-1:45 p.m. Friday, May 17, at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Mississippi County Memorial Gardens in Osceola, Sister Marilyn Sanders officiating.
