Patty Bartholomew Gosa

Patty Bartholomew Gosa, 87, passed away April 30, 2019 at Woodland Village in Cullman, Ala. Born in Blytheville on Jan. 24, 1932, she was raised by her step-father, E.A. “Alf” Moore, and her mother, Mary Corene Moore. Patty was a farmer’s wife, helping with farms in Dell, Portageville, Mo., and Greenwood, Miss. She was an avid golfer and bridge player. Patty had her pilot’s license and would often fly to the Blytheville Airport and visit relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father, Tom Bartholomew; mother and step-father; brother, Edward Lee Moore; and brother-in-law, Harvey Emmert.

Survivors include her daughter, Vicki Sanders of Birmingham, Ala.; son, Henry Gosa, Jr. of Jackson, Miss.; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Donna Moore Emmert of Holland, Mo.

In death, she continued to be concerned about her fellowman. She donated her remains to the University of Alabama in Birmingham for research.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
