Rosie Lee Taylor Overton
Rosie Lee Taylor Overton, 80, of Rincon, Ga., passed away April 29, 2019, at her home in Rincon, Ga. She was born Oct. 23, 1938, in Manila to Howard Taylor Sr. and Katherine Walker Taylor. Mrs. Overton was the office manager for Overton Painting and Restoration, on the motherboard and the former first lady of New Mt. Pleasant Worship Center in Osceola.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert Overton Jr.; four brothers, Robert Smith, Willie, Warren, and Roy Taylor; and one sister Flora Lee Brewer.
She is survived by three daughters, Veda (Sammie) Houston of Atlanta, Ga., Gina (Efrem) Prejean of Fresno, Texas, and Rehan (Kurtis) McNeil of Rincon, Ga.; one brother, Earnest Taylor of Chicago, Ill.; two sisters, Mary Alice Cooper and Ora Bell Taylor, both of Fort Leonardwood, Mo.; and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 12:30-2 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at New Mt. Pleasant Christian Worship Center in Osceola. Funeral will follow at 2 p.m. with burial at Sandy Ridge Cemetery in Burdette. Rev. Marcel Davis will officiate.
