Ora Dean Palmore Willis

Ora Dean Palmore Willis of Blytheville was born March 26, 1934 in Cruger, Miss., to the late Jake Palmore and the late Annie Bell Thomas Palmore. She was a home health worker and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Palmore passed away on April 27, 2019, at her home in Blytheville, at the age of 85.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jake Palmore and Annie Bell Thomas Palmore; her husband, Johnny Willis; two sons, Johnny Willis, Jr. and Ivory Michael Willis; two daughters, Esther Mae Willis and Ollie Faye Willis; four brothers, Sammy Palmore, Sr., McKinley Palmore, John Palmore and Willie Palmore; and five sisters, Annie Bell Jones, Clemmie McDowell, Effie Teen Rodgers, Fannie Mae Palmore and Essie B. Palmore.

She is survived by one son, Danny Willis of Lawrence, Kan.; one daughter, Debra Howard of Blytheville; two sisters, Beatrice Talley of Blytheville and Mary Diamond of Olathe, Kan.; 10 grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren and a host of great-great-grandchildren.

The visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 3, at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville, the funeral will be held the following day, Saturday, May 4, at 10 a.m. also at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Sammy Palmore, Sr. officiating. The burial will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Blytheville.
