James David Hilburn

James David Hilburn, 84, of Blytheville passed away April 27, 2019, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born Oct. 24, 1934 in Eaton, to Floyd and Clementine Penn Hilburn. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons and grandsons and dancing.

Survivors include two sons, Mike Hilburn (Kathy) of West Plains, Mo., Craig Hilburn of Conway; one daughter, Patricia Meacham of Blytheville; eight grandchildren, Karie Cherry (Kevin) of West Plains, Mo., Beth Hunt (Jason) of Cedarcreek, Mo., Matt Hilburn of Waterford, Mich., Chase Meacham (Sondra) of Blytheville, Kelli Rae Hastings (Ron) of Gosnell, Alex Hilburn of Conway, Megan Reeves (Landon) of Batesville Molly Hilburn of Conway; nine great-grandchildren, Layla, Lila, Loralie, Weston, Riley, Cole, Parker, Colin, Holli; and a host of other family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Hilburn; one brother, Bobby Hilburn; two sisters, Bernice Turner and Neal Barry.

Funeral services will be at noon Tuesday, April 30, at Bethany Baptist Church in Manila, with Tony Cherry and Duane Smith officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church from 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow in Manila Cemetery under the direction of Faith Funeral Service of Manila.

Pallbearers will be Chase Meacham, Alex Hilburn, Ron Hastings, Terry Barry, Landon Reeves, Jason Hunt.
