June Ella Dodd, 80, of Lakeland, Fla., left this world to be in the presence of her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, after her battle with breast cancer. June was born in Highbanks community near Monette on Dec. 11, 1938. June has been an Avon representative for 30 years in the central Florida area and was well known for her family owned restaurants in the Monette and Leachville area. In addition, June was a cosmetologist for many years in Arkansas and became a cosmetology instructor after she moved to Florida. Her greatest joy in life was being a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and was referred to by many as “Mamaw.”

June was reunited with her mother and father and met for the first time her great-grandmother Kylie Gleason in Heaven.

Her loved ones that have preceded her in death are her father, Floyd Eggers, and mother, Lovie Eggers, both of Monette, and great-granddaughter Kylie Gleason of Lakeland, Fla.

She is survived by her five children, son Ricky Dodd (wife Sandra) of Lakeland, Fla., daughter Dena Wallace (husband Scott) of Cabot, son Dennis Dodd (wife Lucy) of Lakeland, Fla., son James Dodd (wife Kay) of Dexter, Mo., and daughter Cindy Loomis (husband Donnie) of Lakeland, Fla. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and to be born later this year one great-granddaughter and three great-great-grandsons. Additionally, she is survived by two brothers, Noel Eggers of Monette and Barry Eggers of Jonesboro, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside memorial service celebrating June’s life will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make all donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
