Emogene Eldried

Ruth Emogene Eldried, 91, of Leachville, widow of J.T. Eldried, passed from this life Monday, April 15, 2019, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Sulphur Rock, she was the daughter of the late George and Myrtle Reddell Keller and had been a Leachville resident since 1937. She was retired from the former Brown Shoe Company and was a longtime member of the People of Praise United Pentecostal Church in Leachville. Emogene enjoyed canning, gardening and babysitting.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sons, three brothers, and five sisters.

Survivors include one son, Tommy Eldried (Betty Jo) of Leachville; two daughters,

Mickie Collier (Bobby) of Leachville and Patricia McMinn (Johnny) of Arbyrd, Mo.

She also leaves eight grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 19, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Donnie Johnson, Rev. Mark McMinn and Rev. David Price officiating. Burial will follow in Leachville Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Thursday evening from 6-8 at the funeral home.
