Roger Dewayne Hood

Roger Dewayne Hood, Sr., 53, of Lepanto, passed away April 13, 2019, at SMC Medical Center in Osceola. He was born July 27, 1965, in Memphis, Tenn., to James and Doris Campbell Hood. Mr. Hood was a correctional officer, Army National Guard and of the Baptist faith.

He was was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Jimmy Hood and one sister Marie Jones.

He is survived by two sons, Roger D. (Lauren) Hood, Jr. of Brighton, Tenn., and Dustin Hood of Marked Tree; one daughter, Kelsey (Dylan) Mason of Lepanto; one brother, Tommy Hood of Trumann; one sister, Liz (Michael) Simpson of Payneway; three grandchildren, Madison Hood of Brighton, Tenn., Aylan Mason and Harper Mason of Lepanto.

Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, at Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza. Funeral will follow at 2 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza with burial following at Potter Cemetery in Lepanto. Bro. Jeff Miles officiating.
