Neely Mae Harris

Neely Mae Harris, 92, of Osceola passed away March 28, 2019, in Memphis, Tenn. She was a homemaker, a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church and on the motherboard in Osceola. Ms. Neely was born Feb. 14, 1927, in Joiner to Joe Brown and Annie Bell Durke Brown.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willie Harris; five brothers, George Brown, Morris Brown, John Brown, Horris Brown and Clifton Brown; two sisters, Annie Mae McCargo and Ella Brown; four grandchildren, Hailey Watkins, Eric Gavin, Frederick Douglas and Holly Douglas.

She is survived by her son, Perry Lee Harris of Osceola; four daughters, Ruby Jackson of Osceola, Diane Douglas of Little Rock, Mary Jo Johnson of Milwaukee, Wis., and Dorothy Harris-Watkins of Blytheville; one brother, Joe Brown of Memphis, Tenn.; one sister, Mazora Seals of West Memphis; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. Saturday, April 6, at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Osceola. The funeral will follow at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Osceola with Dr. Moses Black officiating. Burial will be at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola.
