Mary Frances Bowers Murphy

Mary Frances Bowers Murphy, 83, of Blytheville went to be with her Lord on Saturday morning with her loving family surrounding her. She was born in Keiser to Edgar and Rennie Sprayberry Bowers on April 18, 1935. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church until it recently closed.

She retired after 35 years with American Greetings. She also served as secretary for Mississippi County Special Workshop for approximately one year. She loved to sing, especially in the choir and in the Trio she was a part of. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and her pets. She loved Jesus and her family. Her grandsons were her world.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, William Lowery and George Murphy; one brother, Howard Bowers; and two grandsons, Edgar Jason Wilson, Rex Alan Lowery; and one nephew, Thomas Bowers.

She is survived by one son, Richard (Lauren) Lowery of Kennett, Mo.; one daughter, Sharon (Bobby) Camburn of Blytheville; eight grandchildren, Rennetta Lynn Lindenburg, April Lynn Goza, Jeremy Lee Camburn, Preston Miles, Carlos Rodriguez, Serena Rodriguez, Marrisa Berger and Rachel Rodriguez; with the blended families she claimed 27 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; four nieces, Karen Wright, Lisa Gio, Terri Bowers, Theresa Bowers, and Jamie Herren; one nephew, Corey Bowers; she had a special friend, Deanna Beasley, of Paragould; and her beloved pets, Peppie and Gizmo.

In lieu of flowers the family asks memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, Mississippi County Humane Society, or charity of your choice.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Carney Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Matthew Kamper officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.
