ARMOREL — A day after falling 11-1 to West Memphis on the road the Armorel Tigers defeated the Blue Devils 6-5 Friday night. WMHS jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first and then added three more runs in the third to lead 4-0. However, the Blue Devils pitching started struggling and the Tigers capitalized. The Tigers allowed a run in the top of the seventh but escaped with a 6-5 victory. AHS had three hits total as seniors Tanner Davis, Jaden Henderson and Hohn all had a hit. Senior pitcher CJ Simmons earned the win as he allowed four runs on four hits over four and a third. Junior Quinn Crosskno picked up the save as he struck out four of the last eight Blue Devils.
