Terri “Chrissy” Dampier Askue

Terri “Chrissy” Dampier Askue, 45, of Blytheville, passed away Jan. 13, 2019, at her home.

Terri was born in Blytheville to Hoyt Dampier and Shelia (Brothers) Dampier. She was the special education instructor at Gosnell Junior High and was a member of Mary’s Chapel Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Blytheville High School and a graduate of Arkansas State University where she received her Master’s Degree in early childhood and special education. She was a member of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha, Arkansas Theta Epsilon Chapter, where she was Second Vice President. Terri volunteered around the Blytheville community, serving as a charter volunteer at the Lights of the Delta and the Special Olympics. Terri was also a member of the ESA Sorority.

She was preceded in death by her mother; and her brother, Brandon Dampier.

Terri is survived by her grandmother, Ruby Plunkett of Blytheville; and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 18, at 10:30 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ricky Brothers officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Special Olympics or the Single Parent Scholarship.
