Larry Quention Smith

Larry Quention Smith, 77, of Arbyrd, Mo., died Thursday, Jan. 10, at his home. Born in Monette, he was the son of the late Quention and Hazel Cornish Smith and was a 1959 graduate of Monette High School.Larry had been a Monette area resident for most of his life and had lived in Arbyrd for the past six years. He was a former supervisor for Brown Shoe Company and had also worked for Colson Caster Corporation in Monette. He was the Past Master of the Monette Masonic Lodge #558 and was a member of the Mt. Pleasant General Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Betty Walker Smith of Arbyrd; two daughters, Terrie Selby (Terry) of Jonesboro and Tracy Rose (David) of Leachville; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial service was 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville. The family received visitors Saturday from 12:45 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
