Terrell Ray Kirby

Terrell Ray "Mule" Kirby, 83, of Manila, passed from this life Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019, at his home. Born in Vail, he was the son of the late George and Ethel Brockwell Kirby and was raised in the Leachville area. An entrepreneur from an early age, Mule had owned several businesses in the Leachville and Manila areas. He was the former owner/operator of the Lion Station in Manila, Kirby's Gulf Station in Leachville, NAPA Auto Parts, and The Malt Shop and Log Cabin Restaurants. Mule was a member of the Black Water Church of God.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters, seven brothers, and one daughter, Rose Ellen Kirby.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Alberta Burrow Kirby of Manila; one son, Barry Kirby (Debbie) of Monette; two daughters, Debbie Costner (Tony) of Manila and Pam Fleeman (Charlie) of Manila; one brother, Frank Kirby (Gladys) of Manila. He also leaves seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Leachville Cemetery with Rev. Josh Hobbs officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Leachville.
