Bonnie Jean Hood-Anthony

Bonnie Jean Hood-Anthony of Miami, Fla., was born May 27, 1960 in Dunklin County, Mo., to the late Elmer Leonard Hood and Ruth Thomas of Burdette, Ark. On Monday, Dec. 24, 2018, Bonnie departed this life. She worked as a mental health professional for New Horizons Community Mental Health Center for 15 years. Bonnie was a very humorous person that would tell it like it is. She loved her family dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Ruth Thomas and Elmer Leonard Hood; four brothers, Robert Lee Thomas, Edward Lee Hood, Lawrence Ovell Hood and Elmer Leonard Hood Jr.; and one sister, Carolyn Brewer.

She is survived by one son, Alvin G. Hood of Miami, Fla.; three daughters, Tiffany Hood, Stephanie Cherubin and Kimberly Cherubin, all of Miami, Fla.; 16 grandchildren, Akayla McCray, Cordell Moise, Nathaniel Hood, Kendrick Exantus, Malik Exantus, Issac Ashely, Candence Flanders, Aaliyah Flanders, Corey Flanders Jr., Zahara Sweet, Zakira Sweet, Za’yir Sweet, Britteny Hood, Aniyah Hood, Skylah Hood, and Alvin Hood Jr. ; three brothers, Goldie Odell Hood of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Ronald Lee Hood of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Roy Lee Hood of Earle; four sisters, Pauline Jones of Birmingham, Ala., Margaret Byrd of Snellville, Ga., Bobbie (Leslie) Brown of Columbus, Ga., and Maudie Brewer of Aurora, Ill.; a very special niece, Delilah Jackson of Springfield, Mo.; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins close to her heart.

Visitation was from 5-6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2019. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home 530 Lumerate St., Blytheville.
