Tappy Ann Bedwell

Tappy Ann Bedwell, 64, of Brookland, passed from this life Friday, Dec. 28, 2018, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Leachville, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Margie Smith Carmichael and was raised in the Manila and Leachville areas. She was a longtime employee of the former Basler Electric in Caraway and later retired from Monroe Automotive in Paragould. Tappy was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Caraway. Her hobbies included tending to her many animals and spending precious time with her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four sisters and a brother.

She is survived by two sons, Bobby Dewayne Gross of Caraway and Michael S. Carmichael of Brookland; a daughter, Stevie Nicole Isom of Brookland; a brother, Tommy Carmichael of Burdette; a sister, Amy McCain of Brookland; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Graig Stull officiating. Burial followed in Leachville Cemetery. The family received friends Tuesday evening from 5-8 at the funeral home.
