Geraldine Garrison was born on October 23, 1928, in Malden to William and Sylvia Launius.

Geraldine Garrison of Campbell, MO departed this life at Mississippi County Health System in Blytheville on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, on her 90th birthday. In November 1947, she was united in marriage to Charles Garrison, who preceded her in death.

Geraldine loved the outdoors and spent many years working on the family farm with her husband. Mowing her lawn was a favorite activity and one she thoroughly enjoyed until she was 88 years of age and health issues prevented her from no longer doing so. When she broke her leg five years ago and had to undergo several weeks of physical therapy during the winter months, she set a goal for herself to be able to mow her lawn by the following spring – one she easily achieved.

She also enjoyed doing embroidery and making quilts, all hand-sewn for family and friends. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Campbell.

Survivors include two daughters, Faye Griggs and Carol (Gale) Wilf of Blytheville; grandchildren, Ryan (Kim) Griggs, Jennifer (Jason) Orton, and Brett (Tiffany) Kirk all of Blytheville, and Mark (Elesha) Wilf of Panama City Beach, FL; great-grandchildren, Weston and Hallee Griggs, of Blytheville, Heather (Zac) Colburn and Hannah (Carson) Tyler of Manila, Jensyn and Jadyn Orton, Kiley Caviness, Kristin Sutton, and Brigham Garrison Kirk, all of Blytheville. Great-Great-Grandchildren, Lily and Lawson Suber, Mac Colburn, and Hanson Tyler all of Manila. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Romelle Launius, of Ottawa, IL, and several nieces and nephews and special friends Bob and Maureen Griggs and their sons, Cody and Beau of Blytheville.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Ira, Calvin, and Homer Launius and sisters, Katherine Miner and Mabel Wright.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, October 26, at Landess Funeral Home in Campbell, with funeral services immediately following at 11 a.m., with Reverend Marty Carlisle, Bro. Gary Hyde and Dr. Ron Wilcoxson officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to First Baptist Church in Campbell.
