Charles “Charlie” Ellis Richardson

Charles “Charlie” Ellis Richardson, 88, of Blytheville, peacefully passed away Friday, August 31, 2018 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Charlie was born August 13, 1930 in Blytheville to Wes and Birdie (Harper) Richardson.

He was a lifelong area resident, a former truck driver, an employee of Randall Company and Hays Grocery Store. He was a member of Wellspring Church (formerly Blytheville First Assembly of God) and a member of the Blytheville Chickasawba Masonic Lodge #134.

Charlie had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, grilling, watching Nascar and reading Louis L’ Amour books.

He is survived by his daughter: Connie Mosley-Brents and husband Michael Brents of Blytheville; his son: Charles W. Richardson and wife, Evelyn of Macon, Georgia; two grandsons: Matt Mosley and wife, Whitney of Branson, Missouri and Dylan Richardson of Macon, Georgia; two great-grandchildren: Connor Mosley and Avery Mosley of Branson, Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews that will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 59 years Carolyn Alford Richardson, 4 sisters and 7 brothers.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Monette Manor, where Charlie resided the last year of his life, for their care and compassion.

A private burial was held. Memorials may be offered to a charity of choice or the Blytheville Humane Society.
