Norma Jackson

Norma Willene Jackson, 78, of the Milligan Ridge community near Manila, passed from this life Friday, Aug, 24, 2018, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. Born to the late Roe Andrew and Lille Irene Hicks Jackson, she had been a lifelong resident of Milligan Ridge and was a 1958 graduate of Manila High School. She retired as the head cashier from the former Merchants and Planters Bank, and in recent years had worked for Delta Drugs, Inc., both of Manila. Norma was a lifelong member of the Milligan Ridge Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Calvin Jackson.

She is survived by two brothers and three sisters-in-law, Roe Dewayne Jackson (Phyllis) of Jonesboro, Loy Jackson (Donna) of Manila, Mrs. Pat Jackson of Caraway. Norma also leaves five nephews, four nieces, seven great-nephews, seven great-nieces, 13 great-great-nephews, and 10 great-great-nieces.

Funeral service was 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. Mike Colvin officiating. Burial followed in Greene County Memorial Gardens in Paragould.

Pallbearers were Ricky Jackson, Dwight Jackson, Christi Covington, Lea Ann Smithee, Robin Haddock, Rodney Jackson, Matthew Jackson, Jeremy Jackson and Faith Ashley.

The family received visitors Sunday from noon until service time at the funeral home.
