Kathy P. Hickerson

Kathy P. Hickerson, 72, of Blytheville, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at her home.

Kathy was born in Trenton, Tennessee to Daniel and Geneva (Kinsey) Thorne. She was a homemaker and a member of Salem Baptist Church in Trenton, Tennessee. Kathy loved to cook and was an avid reader. Her grandchildren were special to her and she enjoyed going to all of their activities. Kathy loved traveling to deer camp and spending time with her friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Bob and John Thorne.

Kathy leaves her husband, Jerry, of the home; two children, Stephanie Barksdale and her husband William of Memphis and Stephen Hickerson and his wife Lisa of Blytheville; four grandchildren, Kinsey Nelson and her husband John David, Riley Hickerson, Alexander Barksdale and Christopher Barksdale; a special friend, Patsy Smith; and special caregiver, Sandy Bott.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 2nd at 6:30 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Bill Sullivan and Rev. Mike Welch officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will be Friday, August 3rd at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Trenton, Tennessee.
