Emmalei Nicole Utley, 18, of Caraway passed from this life Sunday, April 22, 2018, after a tragic accident. She was born Oct. 5, 1999, In Poplar Bluff, Mo., to Bobby Utley and Jodie Scales. Emmalei was a senior at Riverside High school and was a cheerleader. Emmalei was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Black Oak. She loved spending time with her friends, shopping and getting her nails done. Emmalei enjoyed going fishing with her brothers and spending time with family. Her favorite thing to do though was spending time with her daughter Jenna Mae and singing to her.

Emmalei was preceded in death by her brother, Zachary Utley; maternal grandfather, Billy Adams, and uncle, Charles Adams.

In addition to her parents, Emmalei is survived by her paternal grandparents who raised her, James and Jeannie Meurer; daughter, Jenna Mae Turner; brothers, Josh (Mickayla) Utley, Cody (Jacey) Utley; sisters, Autumm Crump, Maggie Crump; maternal grandmother Debra Tate; aunts, Amber Hardwick, Pamela Meurer, Angela Goodman; uncle, Lesley Meurer; sissy, Maci Hardwick and many other nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2018, at New Hope Baptist Church with Anthony Price and Heath Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in Caraway Cemetery.

Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00-3:30 p.m.
