Betty Raye Baker

Betty Raye Baker, also known to friends and family as “Honey,” 87, of League City, Texas, formerly of Blytheville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 6, 2018.

She was born on December 24, 1930 to Raymond and Ethel Wilson. She was united in marriage to the love of her life of 64 years, Earnest Lee Baker, who preceded her in death January 15, 2015. Betty enjoyed working in her yard, camping, square dancing and spending time with her family and friends. Betty had a beautiful, uplifting spirit which made everyone she was around feel like they were friends whom she had known for years.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers Ray Wilson, Woodrow Wilson and L.Z. Koonce. Betty leaves to cherish her precious memories three children Randall Lee Baker of Madison, Alabama, Kimberly Kaye Baker of League City, Texas, and Karen Raye Crawford of Caruthersville;

Six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren;

One sister, Sandra Lee Hardesty of League City;

One special friend, her dog, Lucey; and a host of other family and friends.

Memorial service will be held at Lone Oak Baptist Church in Blytheville on Saturday, April 21 from 10-11 a.m. for family and friends with service to follow at 11 a.m.

Pastor Mitchell King of Lone Oak Baptist Church will be officiating.
