Donald (Don) Ray Gray

Donald (Don) Ray Gray, 77, of Blytheville went to be with his Lord on Monday, April 9, 2018. Don was born on October 20, 1940 in Michie, Tennessee to Carl and Bessie Gray.

Don owned D & J Custom Upholstery and worked side by side with JoAnn until he retired. He loved working on cars and restoring them. His work was impeccable and admired by many. He enjoyed fishing, watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball, and NASCAR. He loved working in his yard and grilling anything on his homemade grill he has had almost 50 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, four sisters and his only son Jeffery Don Gray.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, JoAnn Ramey Gray;

Two daughters: Barbara Cole and her fiancé Rick Stewart of Fredericksburg, Virginia and Jennifer Gray McDaniel and her husband Robert of Chatham, Virginia;

One sister, Glenda Wilson, of Rio Rancho, New Mexico;

Three brothers: Eldridge and Bobbie Gray of Steele Missouri, Jim & Lucille Gray of Lawrenceburg Tennessee, and Billie and Brenda Gray of Steele Missouri;

One brother-in-law, Fred Ramey, of Blytheville Arkansas;

One sister-in-law, Erma and Larry Mays of Fort Smith Arkansas;

His pride and joy, his grandkids: Jennifer Dawn and Richard Austin, Kristopher and Mandie Kirksey, Courtney and Guy Robertson, Adam Cole and his fiancé Brittany Hughes, Sierra and Jacob Whitlow, and Jordan and Kurt Zellmer;

Eight great-grandkids: Kyla and Aubrey Anderson, Emma and Lillian Austin, Koda Kirksey, Nathan and Jeorgia Robertson, and Ava Monroe Zellmer;

Three very special friends: Wayne Alexander, Danny and Sandy West, and a very special sister-in-law Melissa Harding;

And a host of other family (nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins) and friends who will miss him dearly.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 13th, at 12:00 in Carney Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Riley officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 until service begins. Condolences may be offered at www.carneyfuneralhome.com.
