Clyde Alexander Wood, 91, passed away March 30, 2018 at the VA hospital in Memphis. He was born in Williford on Oct. 15, 1926, to the late Will and Pearl Brandon Wood. He proudly served his country in the Air Force during WWII. He was a farmer, a service station manager and had retired as a security guard with St. Bernards Hospital. He was a founding member of the Community of Christ Church in Caraway and he will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend.

Survivors include his loving wife Ozelma of the home; two daughters, Brenda Stotts (Bill) of Caraway and Belinda Wood of Caraway; grandchildren, Jeremy Smith (Tara) of Jonesboro, Travis Anderson (Lesley) of Black Oak, Amy Ladd (Justin) of Jonesboro, Krey Jeffers (Kaylani) of Caraway; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Riley, Maddie, Parker, Jacob, Andy, Kasen, Evalyn, Brynlee and Charleigh; brother, Melvin Wood of Jonesboro; sister, Rita Faye Baldridge of California, as well as the closest he had to a son, his nephew Larry Ervin of Caraway.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, April 2, at the Community of Christ Church in Caraway with Gary Earnhart officiating. Interment will followe in Caraway Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. Monday at the church.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Kent Cullum, Chris Ervin, Waymon Johnson, Chad Sneed, Bishop Whitley, Aaron Liles, Corey Couch and Casey Couch.
