Ronnie Rountree, 57, of Manila, passed from this life Saturday, March 24, 2018, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Born in Monette and raised in Manila, he was the son of the late Arthur William and Doris Jean Fleeman Rountree. He was the former owner/operator of Ronnie Rountree Custom Hauling and Thrashing until 2004. Most recently Ronnie was employed by Mississippi County as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed playing guitar and hunting, but most of all spending time with his family. Ronnie was a member of Browns Chapel Baptist Church near Manila.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Teresa Diane Hiser.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Cathy Lomax Rountree of the home; his son, Ronnie Joe Rountree; his daughter, Kimberly Joann Rountree Perez and husband Josue; two brothers, James Arthur Rountree and wife Mary and Michael Anthony Rountree and wife Beverly, all of Manila; and five grandchildren, Laci Rountree, Jeremiah Perez, Matthew Rountree, Tyler Perez and Jake Rountree.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, in the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. Larry Deaton officiating. Burial will follow in the Leachville Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Matthew Rountree, Jeremiah Perez, Tyler Perez, John Lomax, Wayne Lomax and Leonard Hiser.
The family will receive visitors Wednesday morning from 11 until service time.
