Arthur Slanton

Raymond Arthur “Art” Slaton, 97, of Manila, AR, passed away March 16, 2018 at Morningside Assisted Living, Sheffield, AL. He was born September 18, 1920 to Arthur and Velma Slaton. Art was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II where he served in the European Theater. He served as the Vice President & General Superintendent for Cohen Construction before his retirement. He is survived by several beloved nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents, wife; Ada Sanders Slaton, brother; Ray Slaton, sisters; Faye Crosswhite and Evon Prewett and nephews; Gordon Crosswhite and Larry Vaughn Sanders. Visitation will be Saturday, March 24, 2018, 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Roller-Swift Funeral Home Chapel.
