Mr. James Edward “Jim” Lomax, age 92 of Azle, Texas and formerly of Blytheville, passed from this life on Monday, March 5, 2018 in Azle, Texas. Jim was retired from Union Carbide Viskase Corp. in Osceola, Arkansas. Jim was a longtime member of Bethany Baptist Church where he served as deacon and Bible Study teacher. A dedicated Christian for much of his adult life, Jim was very quick to share his testimony how God had saved him and set him on a wondrous path of becoming an individual whose love for Christ and mankind would guide him to help others he came in contact with. He was a kind, loving and giving man who lived a life trying to be a reflection of Christ for all to see. He loved his family without any reservations’ and always was there for them no matter what. Jim also loved the outdoors, especially fishing. He was also one to share his bounty of fish and would hold fish fry’s at church. He and Sue loved to fellowship with others from church and they would often share his fish at home. Jim also loved to sit with friends and do his favorite pastime, “Drink Coffee”. If you couldn’t sit and have a cup he would tell you to drop by anytime and he would have a pot on for you. He was great working with his hands. There wasn't a lawnmower that he could not fix. Jims’ unique ability to fix things helped him to rig a stainless steel coffee cup to his wheelchair so he could take his coffee with him.
