Bette Jo Richardson Boyett Lewis

Bette Jo Richardson Boyett Lewis, 94, of Blytheville, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2018 at Osceola Therapy and Living Center in Osceola.

Bette was born in Blytheville to Buster and Vera Richardson and was a 1942 graduate of Blytheville High School. Bette worked many years as a cashier for Blytheville Water Company and also worked for the State of Missouri as a caseworker for child welfare. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she was very involved within the church and loved her Sunday school class. Bette enjoyed traveling with her husband, Linwood.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Fred Boyett, Jr. and Linwood Lewis; her parents; a daughter, Marsha Lynn Boyette; and a sister, Sue Thompson.

Bette leaves three stepsons, Otto Boyett and his wife Sherrie and Fred Boyett and his wife Joy, all of The Villages, Florida, and Linwood Lewis, Jr. and his wife Laura of Winston Salem, North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 23rd at 10:30 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
