Larry Bernard Smith

Mr. Larry Bernard Smith, 59, of Blytheville, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Cedargate Nursing Home in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Larry was born to Ernest and Iola (Myers) Smith. He was retired from Hays Supermarkets where he worked in maintenance and attended Lone Oak Baptist Church. Larry was a master handyman and was always working on something. On his off time, he enjoyed working on cars. He had a keen eye and was good at decorating, especially Christmas trees. Larry was a good father who loved to take his son out. He was a very generous and giving person who loved everyone. He was a positive person who wouldn’t let negativity influence his life or his attitude.

In addition to his father, Larry was preceded in death by his sister, Marilyn Jump.

Larry leaves three children, Crystal Quinn of Jonesboro, Brittney Smith of Blytheville and Eric Smith of Blytheville; his mother, Lola Smith of Elsberry, Missouri; three brothers, Michael Smith, David Smith and Raymond Smith; four grandchildren; and his dear friends, David and Joyce King. Larry was blessed to have a friendship with good Samaritans, the Paul Tarpley family, as in the book of Luke.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 9 at 10 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Zach Roberts officiating. Burial will be private.
