Kenneth Lee King, 53, of Leachville, passed from this life Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018, at Monette Manor Nursing Center in Monette. Born in Memphis, Tenn., he was raised in Northeast Arkansas and was a 1983 graduate of Leachville High School. Before becoming ill, he had been a longtime employee of Monroe Auto Equipment Co. in Paragould. Kenneth dearly loved his family, music, dancing and the Golden Egg Easter family tradition. He was an accomplished baker and artist. A former member of the Browns Chapel Baptist Church near Manila, he was a current member of the Leachville First United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harvey and Winnie Ballard and Elvin and Bertha King.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Janice Master King of Leachville; his father and mother, Donald and Nadine Ballard of Leachville; one brother, Scott Ballard (Regina) of Leachville; two sisters, Wendy Carpenter (Shane) of Jonesboro and Deanna Stuck (Chris) of Leachville; his mother-in-law, Joan Master of Leachville; five nephews, Brandon Ballard (Emilee), Ryan Stuck, Tyler Parker, Eli Tomblin and Jude Tomblin; three nieces, Kim Tomblin (Michael), Tiffany Fletcher and Caitlyn Stuck.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Jason Sutfin and Rodney Presley officiating. Burial will follow in the Leachville Cemetery.

Serving as active pallbearers are Tony Ray, Eric Ray, Tommy Ray, Kevin Presley, Ronnie Wilkerson, Ken Morris and Michael Guiltner. Honorary pallbearers are Billie Brasfield and Gregg Presley.

The family will receive visitors Thursday evening from 6-8 at the funeral home.
