Mrs. Betty Jean Skelton, 70, of Blytheville, passed away Friday, January 5, 2018 at her home.

Betty was born to Stanton and Christine (Greene) Clark and was the co-owner and operator of Skelton’s Grocery in Halfmoon. She was very active in the daily operations of their store. Betty was devoted to her family and very active in her daughter’s lives. Betty was a great wife, mother, and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Earnest, Pete, and Tom Clark; and one sister, Sue Ditto.

Betty leaves her husband, Gary Skelton of the home; two daughters, Marcy Mask and her husband Ricky of Halfmoon and Lana Fischer and her husband Travis of Jonesboro; two brothers, James Clark of Hermondale, Missouri and C.W. Clark of Punta Gorda, Florida; three sisters, Clara Smith of Eupora, Mississippi, Hattie Risor of Keithsville, Louisiana and Sally Beltran of Gosnell; four grandchildren, Zachary, Madison, Jacob, and Mollie; and a special friend, Inita Jones of Blytheville.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 7 with Rev. Sunny Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time at Cobb Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cobbfuneralhome.com.
