Mr. Tom Spikes

Mr. Tom Spikes, 78, of Bridgeport, Texas passed away on December 7, 2017 at his home.

Tom was born on April 18, 1939 in Monette to Wayland and Lucille (Parmer) Spikes. Tom married Sandra Rush in 1982 in Memphis, Tennessee. He served in the US Army, and was a member of the First Baptist Church and a truck driver by trade.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra; son, Bob Spikes of Ramona, California; stepdaughters, Laura Blackburn and husband Mark of Runaway Bay, Texas and Hope McCord and husband Gary of Bartlett, Tennessee; stepson, Todd Rush and wife Anita of Olive Branch, Mississippi; grandchildren, Ashley Spikes, Macayla Spikes, Brent Blackburn, Stephanie Ostwinkle, Malory McCord, Macee Rush, Will Rush and Ben Rush; and great-grandchildren Emma, Jackson, Blake and Ava Blackburn.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Brian Spikes and brother, Bobby Spikes.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 12 at the First Baptist Church in Bridgeport, Texas. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Dr. Craig Erb will be officiating and burial will follow at the East Bridgeport Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Brent Blackburn, Kyle Ostwinkle, Will Rush, Ben Rush, James White, Jim Fisher. Honorary Pallbearer is James Jackson.
