Mr. Eddie Chew, Sr., 91, of Blytheville passed away Friday October 27, 2017 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born July 12, 1926 in Coldwater, Mississippi, he was the son of Joe and Willie Ann Chew. Eddie came to Blytheville in the late 1940’s following his discharge from the United States Army and was employed by Delta Auto Parts for many years.

Eddie was preceded in death by his parent; his wife, Bernice; sons, Jerry Williams and Don Murphy; and daughters, Denise Cook and Barbara Lucas.

He leaves to forever cherish his memory four daughters, Sherry (Darrell) Talley of Luxora, Jacqueline Lowery of Las Vegas, Nevada and Mechelle Chew and Lisa Chew, both of Blytheville, AR; four sons, Homer (Terri) Campbell of Blytheville, Michael (Betty) Chew, Eddie Chew, Jr. and Cecil Chew, all of Blytheville; one sister, Barbara Palmer Herrod of St. Louis, Missouri; 37 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Eddie Chew, Sr. will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at New Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Douglas Echols officiating and burial to follow at Gethsemane Gardens Cemetery in Blytheville.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on November 3, 2017 McDonald-Horne Funeral Home.
