Mr. James Phillips, age 43, passed away at 3 p.m. on October 11, 2017, at the Great River Medical Center in Blytheville. James was a Navy veteran and the son of the late Larry Phillips, Sr. and Emma nee’ Hurt Phillips.
He is survived by his beloved mother, Emma; sisters, Barbara (Anthony) and Cassandra; brothers, Larry, Jr. and Eric (Shanoree); his nieces; nephews; a God son; aunts; uncles; a host of cousins and friends.
He was also proceeded in death by his oldest brother, Andre Oliver.
The visitation is being held Friday, Oct. 20 from 5–7 p.m. and the funeral services are Saturday, Oct 21 at 11 a.m.; both events will be held at his home church, New St. Paul M.B. Church, under the leadership of his Pastor Clark Phillips, III. James was an avid member of his church where he sang and played as a musician during church services.
