Mrs. Melanie “Pankie” Jefferson-Walton, 36 of Blytheville transitioned from earth to heaven Friday September 8, 2017 at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville. Born June 21, 1981 in Blytheville, she was the daughter of Roosevelt Conley and Rosie Jefferson. Melanie attended the Blytheville School District and was a member of Christ Family Christian Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Virginia Jefferson and Shemicka Conley; and brother Jimmy Wilkerson, Jr.

“Pankie” was a loving young lady with a caring heart, dedicating her life to the love and care of her family, raising and nurturing nieces and nephews as her own children.

She leaves to forever cherish her memory husband, James Walton of Blytheville; sons, Ton’Quez McDougal, Ton’Darrius McDougal, Ay’Dein Taylor, and Alphonse Taylor; daughters, Ma’Khelia Jones, E’Niya McDougal and Ka’Leah Turner .all of the home; sisters, Jennifer Jefferson, Lorena Turner of Blytheville, Sharonda Conley and Keyatta Holliman of Lansing, Mich., Tamala Conley and KaShonda Fowler of Hanford, Calif.; brothers, Lee Edward Jefferson of New York City, N.Y., Tyrone ( Sonya) McGee of Cincinnati, Ohio., Rickie Jefferson, Shawn Jefferson, Antione Jefferson, Anthony Jefferson, all of Madison, Wis., Charles Jefferson of Blythevill, Roosevelt Johnson of Hanford, Calif., Roosevelt Conley, Jr of Lansing, Mich. and Anthony Conley of Blytheville; many aunts, uncles, nephews, niece’s cousin and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, September 15, 2017 at McDonald-Horne Funeral Home 1207 South Division, Blytheville.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Prince of Peace Church, 501 East McHaney Street. Reverend Terrell Rogers is the pastor, Reverend Frederick Clay is the eulogist with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
