John Edward Rodgers, Jr.

Mr. John Edward Rodgers, Jr. was born July 7, 1950 in Turrell, to John Rodgers, Sr. and Effie T. Palmore Rodgers. He was a forklift driver and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Rodgers passed away on September 8, 2017 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro at the age of 67.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by two daughters, Teresa Row of Houston, Texas and Landraya Rodgers of Jonesboro; four brothers, David Rodgers, Roy Rodgers and Calvin Taylor all of Blytheville and Christopher Rodgers of Memphis Tenn.; four sisters, Rosemary Rodgers and Barbara Staley both of Chicago, Ill., Jacqueline Rodgers of Jackson, Mo. and Joyce Rodgers of Memphis, Tenn.; five step-sisters, Earnestine Thomas, Lottie Brooks, Cathrine Gray, Flora Muhammed and Carolyn Shelter all of Memphis, Tenn.; two grandsons, Sam Weddington and Kevion Xespansione; a host of other relatives and many friends.

The visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, September 15, 2017 at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville. The burial will be at Memory Gardens in Blytheville.
