King Henry Nunn, IV

Mr. King H. Nunn IV, 74, of Blytheville passed away Friday September 1, 2017 at Heritage Square Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born January 15, 1943 in Blytheville he was son of Dr. King H Nunn, III and Dr. Helen Robinson Nunn. He was a member of the Bethel A.M.E. Church and the KAPPA ALPHA PSI Fraternity. Educated in the Blytheville School District, he later returned to teach English at East Jr. High School. His college years were spent at Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Mo. where he received his Bachelor’s Degree and Memphis State University receiving his Master’s Degree. In the late 1960’s early 1970’s, King was afforded the opportunity to travel to Africa where he taught English. He was an avid reader and a skilled photographer. He was also employed at American Greetings.

He was preceded in death by his parent.

King is survived by his brother, Robinson S. Nunn of Washington, D.C.; two nieces, Lora (Jim) Faris and Robin Nunn both of Washington, D.C.; a great niece, Faris Nunn of Washington, D.C.; a great nephew, King Nunn; and one aunt, Mrs. Gladys Armstrong of Chicago, Illinois.

Services will be held at noon on Friday September 8, 2017 in the chapel of McDonald-Horne Funeral Home, 1207 South Division. Elder Johnny Moore is the eulogist and burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service.

McDonald-Horne funeral directors are in charge of services and arrangements.
