Alvin Andrew Webster
Mr. Alvin Andrew Webster, born March 11, 1922 in Cooter, Missouri, departed this life August 31, 2017 at the age of 95 years young. Alvin was a former resident of Blytheville, and was a current resident of Paragould.
Alvin was a veteran of the United States Army, where he served in World War II as Technician Fifth Grade. He was honorably discharged with many honors. Alvin also served as a Deacon for Immanuel Southern Baptist Church in Glendale, California; Clear Lake Baptist Church of Blytheville; Fairview Baptist Church of Blytheville; and Tenth Street Baptist Church of Paragould. He was an avid gardener, enjoyed spending time with his many friends and family, and worshipping with his church family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Obie and Birdie Webster; his siblings, James Webster, Beatrice Moreland and Jack Webster; and his beloved wife of 60 years, Melba Lucille Ford Webster.
He is survived by his two daughters, Barbara Semple and Andrea Guy; four grandchildren, Michelle Smith, Lori Boesen, Andrew Coxand Jessica Blumhoefer; four great grandchildren, Dana Kennedy, William Boesen , Charlise Terpstra and Ryan Terpstra; and three great great grandchildren, Mackenzie Kennedy, Alyssa Boesen, and Charlie Boesen.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Carney Funeral Chapel in Blytheville. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Carney Funeral Chapel in Blytheville with Bro. Larry Haynes and Bro. Fred Jones officiating. Graveside services will be at Dogwood Cemetery in Blytheville with Bro. Boyce Cate officiating. Condolences may be offered at carneyfuneralhome.com.
