Lewis Crawford “Man” Hogan Jr., 82, of Lake O'Lakes, Fla., formerly of Monette, passed Saturday, July 29, 2017, at his home. He was born Sept. 17, 1934, in Poplar Ridge near Monette to the late Lewis Crawford and Demie Hogan Sr. He graduated Monette High School in 1953. L.C. served his country proudly in the United States Army. He lived in Florida for over 50 years. He will be remembered as a loving brother, uncle and friend.

He is survived by his best friend, Betty Milton, and her family, Bill Kyle Jr. and Barbara Kyle of Land O'Lakes; three brothers, Jack Hogan and JT Hogan both of Bells, Tenn., and Wayne Hogan of Trumann; a cousin, Darrell Williamson of Jonesboro; 15 nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Lee Hogan Smith and Clara Hogan.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at Monette Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Reed officiating. A gathering will be held after the service at the Monette American Legion Building.

Honorary pallbearers include Mike Hogan, Janet Smith Rolland, P.D. Wallace, Darrell Williamson and the Monette High School Class of 1953.
