Mildred Francis Brown, 89, of Troy, Mich., formerly of Caraway, died Sunday morning, June 18, 2017, at Stonecrest Assisted Living in Troy. She was a homemaker and active member of Black Oak Baptist Church and Caraway Senior Citizens Center before moving to Michigan in 2012. Mildred was born July 30, 1927, in Caraway to Pearl and Katie Clark Kelems.

She is survived by her caregivers, nephew, Paul Brown (Paula) of Jonesboro; two nieces, Paulette Fleming (Wade and son Mark, Nici, Cyrus and Maggie) of Troy, Mich., and Wynette Hall (Larry, son Matthew and daughter Katie, Luis and Teresa) of Gaithersburg, Md., along with many other nephews and nieces and their children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pearl and Katie Kelems, her husband Lloyd, and 11 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 24, at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette, with the Rev. Rick Stevens officiating. Entombment will be in Monette Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include Paul Brown, Wade Fleming, Mark Fleming, Larry Hall, Matthew Hall, Jess Kelems, Jessie Fleming, Kenny Weathers, Roy Kelems, Ricky Kelems, John Boatman and Dale Haas.
