Beulah Alberda

Monette -- Bea Alberda, 83, slipped into eternity with her children by her side on May 8, 2017, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born May 30, 1933, in Monette to the late Herbert and Velma Cullum. She grew up in Monette and then moved to Michigan where she met her husband, Alan Alberda. They lived in many states throughout the U.S. while Al served a career in the U.S. Army. Upon retirement they moved back to her childhood home of Monette. She was a member of the Monette Assembly of God Church, a cherished mother and a homemaker.

Survivors include her children, Ricky Alberda of Powhatan, Linda Hanson (Robb) of Jonesboro, Gena Alberda of Monette and Don Alberda (Toshya) of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Patricia Truitt, Misty Alberda, Lenn Moore, Robbyn Hanson Johnson, Johnathan Moore and Amiee Elrod; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Wanda Zelko of Watervliet, Mich.; three brothers, Herbert “Red Hot” Cullum of Monette, Noble Cullum of Monette and Randy Cullum of Ash Flat; and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Alan Alberda; one daughter, Sandra Alberda; one grandson, Alan Michael Alberda; one brother, Gail Cullum; and one sister, Hazel “Jean” Liebsch.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 11, at the Monette Assembly of God Church with Bro. Shawn McElhannon and Bro. Clint Burns officiating. Interment will be at the Monette Cemetery under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.

The family will receive visitors at the church from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be Kent Cullum, Chris Sanders, Josh Johnson, Danny Gibson, Devin Hale and Jeff Graham.
