Mrs. Gail Daniels, 89, of Knoxville, Tennessee and formerly of Blytheville, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Gail was born in Blytheville to Virgil and Odie (Crawford) Watkins. She was a very active member of Yarbro Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years. Gail worked at Rice Stix, sold Avon for many years and worked at Montgomery Ward before retiring. After retirement, Gail did alterations for many years. Taking care of her husband and family was always number one. In high school she was the captain of the basketball team. She was active with her children in sports and was their softball coach. Gail had a big heart and volunteered at the hospital in Blytheville and the Red Cross. She enjoyed bowling and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, L.D. Daniels; her parents; three brothers, Woodrow, Reg, and Buck Watkins and five sisters, Zenoba Carson, June Stinnett, Helen Hicks-Plunkett, Alice McKernan, and Dorothy Teeter.

Gail leaves two daughters, Sandra House and Carol Moreno, both of Knoxville, Tennessee; one sister, Linda Stegall of Pocahontas, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Amber Wooten, Wes Long, Mandy Roscow, Abby Cross and Sarah Moreno and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 13 in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Cobb Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cobbfuneralhome.com.
